Pumpkin Face Mask
Happy Thanksgiving! Hopefully your day is full of delicious food and relaxing with family and friends. Now onto some important business. What do with all that left over pumpkin? Make a face mask and plant yourself in front of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. It will have everyone asking what your secrets are for gorgeous glowing skin!
INGREDIENTS:
• ¼ cup pumpkin(not the already mixed pumpkin pie filling, just plain pumpkin!)
• 1 teaspoon cinnamon
• 1 teaspoon raw honey
• 1 tablespoon buttermilk or whatever percentage milk you have lying around (for dry skin) or 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar or cranberry juice (for oily skin)
•1 egg(optional for pore tightening)
DIRECTIONS:
Combine the ingredients, mix well, and apply for 10-20 minutes. Rinse off with water and moisturize as usual.
*Pumpkin has enzymes that eat away at dead skin cells leaving skin soft and smooth. Cinnamon has antiseptic qualities as well as awakens and revitalizes the skin. Honey is a natural antiseptic(as is apple cider vinegar), but is also naturally hydrating. Use buttermilk for extra softening benefits. Egg is optional for skin firming and pore tightening.
