Lea Journo Haircare
I mentioned last week that I bought the Nars Radiant Concealer in the Sephora VIB sale, but what I didn't mention was my latest haircare discovery. Bored by my usual routine and in the market for a new shampoo and conditioner, I happened upon a brand new to me: Lea Journo Haircare. Upon further research I discovered Lea Journo is a Parisian hairdresser with a celebrity clientele of everyone from Brad Pitt to Kate Bosworth.
I rarely buy products on a whim, but what immediately caught my eye was that they were Sulfate and Paraben-free. I have become adament about the exclusion of these in my products (trust me, it is harder to do than you think - they are in everything!) Sulfates (aka Sodium Laurel Sulfate) is what turns shampoo into a thick lather, and it is also a main ingredient in household cleaning products, among other things. These strip hair of nutrients, fade color faster and are more all-around drying to hair, which is funny when you are buying a hydrating shampoo and the first ingredient is SLS.
Anyway, enough on that and let me get onto my rave review. I really LOVE these products! Made with French Plum Oil, grape seed extracts and almond peptides, they leave hair utterly soft, healthy and shiny. A bonus is the beautiful scent and the genius packaging. No heavy bottle with little product, this comes in a foil slip giving more product to packagaing ratio. Plus its fantastic for travel as they practically lay flat in a Zip-Loc.
I tried the sample pack, which I would recommend, before you buy full size versions. Next on my list from the brand, is their Lea Journo French Plum Oil.
