About Face
I am a big believer in the benefits of face masks. Depending on how my skin is feeling at the moment, here are a few of my all time favorite masks:
For Brightening- I continue to rave over Tata Harper's products because they are just that good! The Resurfacing Mask does it all: gently exfoliates, hydrates, and softens skin. This is my favorite mask to do pre-makeup for a night when you want to be looking your best. It leaves skin with a fresh-faced glow.
For Exfoliating: I have used this Ren Glycolactic Renewal Peel Mask for a long time. The fruit acids work away at dead skin cells leaving skin smooth and healthy. This is a great Sunday mask to get skin ready for the week.
For Deep Cleaning- If your skin is prone to breakouts or you are just having a bad skin week, this Aztec Clay Mask mixed with a teaspoon of Apple Cider Vinegar is for serious deep pore cleansing. It feels like a clay paste going on but after 10 minutes or so, you can really feel this mask at work. I would do a patch test, just to see how your skin reacts, especially if it is sensitive.
For Hydrating- The Caudalie Moisturizing Cream Mask is for when you really want to put some moisture back into your skin. Whether you are traveling frequently or the weather is drying skin out, this gives a good dose of hydration.
For All-Natural Lovers- Raw Honey is a terrific choice as a mask because of its hydrating and anti-bacterial properties. I leave it on for 15 minutes and rinse with warm water. Skin looks and feels smoother in texture.
