Fall Trend: Berry Tone Makeup
As soon as Fall and Winter approaches, the warm bronzes and coral pinks start to take a back seat and out comes the makeup in all shades of berry: red raspberry, ruby cranberry, and cool blackberry. A statement lip now replaces a sheer summery gloss.
For the Lips: Chantecaille's Lip Chic in Calla Lily is a very wearable rosy brown with a hint of berry red. Another option is Kevyn Aucoin's Lip Gloss in signature shade Bloodroses, a rich shade of merlot in an ultra moisturizing formula. Line with matching Lip Pencil for more intensity.
For the Eyes: I love a smokey eye with a hint of a berry tone over the top. Awhile ago, I did a tutorial on the Cranberry Smokey Eye. I return to this look often using MAC Eyeshadows in Cranberry (all over the lid) and Folie ( a matte red plum brown in the crease).
For the Cheeks: A wash of berry on the cheeks gives a beautiful glow. Nars Blush in Sin is the perfect tone with the slightest hint of gold shimmer with an illuminating quality.
