Malibu Essentials
It is a gorgeous weekend in Los Angeles and yesterday had to be spent at the beach. It gave me a chance to pull out some of my longtime favorites and try some recent additions.
- Sachajuan Ocean Mist($28) - smells divines, enhances beach waves leaving them soft and manageable, not sticky or crunchy.
- Clarins Instant Light Lip Perfector($24) - a much beloved beauty product by the beauty blogsphere. My personal favorite is Nude Shimmer. It gives a hint of color and keeps lips moisturized and plumped. Great for travel, as well as hot and cold climates.
- iS Clinical Skincare - They are my go-to in terms of all things skin. My facialist Shani Darden introduced them to me over a year ago and I have not looked back since. I will be doing a full post on what my regime is using their products along with another insider secret. The whole routine has completely changed the clarity and texture of my skin. But lately, I have been loving their sunscreens, especially their Eclipse 50+ Sunscreen. It is wonderful on its own as well as under makeup, as it creates a smooth, matte base. Apres sun, I have been obsessed with the CoolMint Revitalizing Masque($43.) Besides the incredible cooling, soothing feel from the green tea and aloe vera, it leaves skin hydrated, fresh and glowy. Exactly what you want after a day spent at the beach!
- Hourglass Ambient Bronzer($50) - This is hot off the press and so far I am very impressed. Hourglass has finally introduced a bronzer in the same formulation as their powders and blushes. It comes in two shades: Luminous and Radiant. The finely milled formula allows the bronzer to seamlessly become one with the skin, instead of just settling on top. It is buildable, so this will work well for fairer complexion, as well as darker skin tones. This will definitely be a summer staple.
