Charlotte Tilbury
I am finally doing a full Charlotte Tilbury round-up. I have to say as someone who has tried many products throughout the year, I continue to be so impressed with her line. Here's the breakdown:
Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream ($100) | This is my second jar. I have to say when I initially tried this I thought this better be a miracle-worker for 100 dollars! But this is truly the most beautiful, luminous, non-oily, base for makeup. I recently overheard a makeup artist saying, "I will never do a face again without this cream!" The key is to really massage the cream into the face, allowing it sink in to create a prepped canvas ready for makeup application.
Charlotte Tilbury Wonderglow ($55) | This is described as an "instant soft focus beauty flash." It is a lovely primer and skin illuminator. It filters the skin with a candlelit effect.
Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder Foundation ($45) | This foundation offers sheer, buildable coverage. It seems like a slightly more pigmented tinted moisturizer. I think this would suit people with fairly decent skin to begin with, but also is beautiful in the summer months, when one doesn't want a heavy coverage. I also love the lightweight, easy to use packaging, no heavy glass jar. Travel-friendly.
Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow ($60) | I have worn this every day for a year! This is a bronzer/sculpting powder truly unlike any other. This is for gorgeous, red carpet, luminous skin. It is a universally flattering shade that gives you cheekbones galore! A must-have.
Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder ($45) | I am not much of a powder person, often times I don't even use one. But this finely milled powder sets makeup beautifully, even under the eyes without creasing.
Charlotte Tilbury The Retoucher Concealer ($35) | This is a concealing pen with a brush in the same vein as YSL Touche Eclat. This offers good coverage and can be used on the face or under the eyes. The only downside is I feel like you could go through this product very quickly because of the clickable pen.
Charlotte Tilbury Full Fat Lashes ($29) | This is my least favorite product thus far. This is a nice product if you want natural pretty lashes, but they market it as a full-on, dramatic mascara. I am all about the bigger the better in terms of mascara, so this has fallen a little short. I will continue to test to see what I think.
My Ultimate Picks? Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream, Filmstar Bronze & Glow, WonderGlow, and the Lighwonder Foundation.
