Summer Favorites
Nothing gets me more giddy then a rifle through the old makeup bag, putting heavier products away and re-introducing fresh, lighter textures back into my routine. Here are some of my summer beauty and other recent favorites.
FACE
iS Clinical CoolMint Revitalizing Masque | I talked about this last year. This is particularly wonderful after a day spent at the beach, as it feels like a very cooling aloe vera gel. I generously apply this all over my face and your skin drinks it up. After rinsing, skin feels plumped and hydrated. This has become a must-have for me come summertime.
Beautycounter Tint Skin in Sand | After recently having had a reaction to trying too many new products at once, I felt the need to resort back to more natural ingredients. Natural foundations are tricky, so I am giving this one a whirl and will report back.
Tom Ford Bronzer in Gold Dust | While I have had this used on me many times, I have never owned it myself. This is a beautiful bronzer with finely milled illuminating particles which gives skin an all over subtle glow.
First Aid Ultra Repair Lip Balm | This balm offers intense hydration and instant relief to dry or sunburnt lips. You know when you apply a lip balm and 20 minutes later it’s completely gone? This one lasts along time. If I apply it at night, I find that I still can feel it in the morning.
HAIR
Christophe Robin Cleansing Purifying Scrub with Sea Salt | This is a product unlike any other. It is a purifying yet moisturizing shampoo with the addition of sea salt. The idea is to take a tablespoon amount, add water, and massage into scalp. The salt rebalances and soothes and hair is left soft and healthy. I have been enjoying using this once every two weeks.
BODY
African Botanics Marula Shimmering Oil | This is a beautiful body oil with gold shimmer. Perfect for accentuating a tan, this oil is more than just superficially satisfying, it has restorative ingredients that deeply hydrate and firm. I also love that they pay close attention to what they put into their products.
Essie Nail Polish in Find Me an Oasis | I am really not one for blue nails, but this icy blue has swayed me. It pops against tanned skin.
ESSENTIALS
L.R.M Goods Large Makeup Bag | I am obsessed with this cosmetic bag! Made from recycled leather and with a beautiful gold embossed monogram, It looks and feels like a much pricier bag than it is. I have received many compliments on this and will definitely be purchasing a few more goodies from this brand. Available in a selection of colors.
Turkish Towels | I know it may seem a little high maintenance to travel with your own towel, but what can I say? You may be just as swayed when you feel how soft and lightweight they are. I am particularly infatuated with this design that reminds me of Moroccan tiles. It doubles as a nice picnic blanket as well.
Miranda Frye Cairo Cuff | I was recently introduced to this lovely and very reasonable jewelry line. This gold cuff is a little more of a statement for the true minimalist in me and I can’t wait to wear this with an all white summer outfit.
Ugg Cherry Slide Sandals | These have become an easy summer staple for me. I love the simple slide on style.
Peixoto Juju Bikini | This beautiful white embroidered bikini is fresh and perfect for summer.!
