The Wrap Coat
Daylight savings happened on Sunday and it is always around this time that people start bracing for winter in New England where I grew up. Now that I live in Los Angeles, I have a different kind of winter uniform. The days are cooler but the sun is always shining, so there is that delicate balance of getting your layers just right. By now, I think I have proved my devotion to a good pair of jeans and a T-Shirt, so it’s really down to a coat to add that extra coziness. Years ago, I bought a blanket coat by Vince that I wore to death and I still wear, so when I saw this latest version, I knew I had to have it. I love the oatmeal color and belt option, but it really is all about how soft and warm it is.
Also of note, have you seen the show- Salt, Fat, Acid, Heat on Netflix? It is a food/travel show where Samin Nosrat takes you all over the world exploring ingredients and what makes food taste great. It is very inspiring and reaffirms why I love cooking so much. But even if you don’t care as much about that, you will fall in love with her.
