New Discoveries
I have been incorporating a few new items into my beauty routine, as well as a fashion item. I have been loving using natural products with good ingredients that deliver the results I am looking for. After trying these products for a few weeks, Its safe to say I see a longterm relationship in our future.
I am so glad I was introduced to this brand. I had heard of it and have been kicking myself for not trying it sooner. But on recommendation from one of the lovely ladies at The Detox Market, I picked up this Josh Rosebrook Hydrating Accelerator Facial Mist. With an impressive list of ingredients, this is like a serum in spray form. You instantly get a dose of moisture and I love the dewy and hydrated way my skin looks. This brand pays incredible attention to detail, marking each product with a batch number and an expiration date (since natural products free of preservatives have a shorter shelf time.) This is going to especially helpful on long flights! I love natural hybrid skincare brands that delivers results.
I scooped this Weleda Skin Food up at Whole Foods. It is a very thick balm that I love to use this as a "skincare highlighter." After my usual skincare routine, I like to take a small amount and melt it between my hands and press it to the high points of the face or wherever you would put a highlighter (top of the cheekbones, around the eyes, a little on the nose and forehead.) It sinks in and gives a really natural glow to skin. I also use this multipurpose balm as a hand lotion, cuticle cream, anywhere that feels dry. Bonus is that it is readily available and affordable.
I love replacing certain products in my beauty routine with more natural alternatives that deliver just as much pigment and longevity as any regular products. First, I have been loving the Jillian Dempsey Lid Tint in Glimmer. it is a creamy eye product that gives buildable color with a hint of a glossy sheen. I love this golden peachy shade on its own in the day or to add a gleam to powder eyeshadow in the evening. For the face, I have been using this blush/highlighter combination. These Ilia Multi-Sticks are genius as they can be used on the eyes, cheeks or lips. I chose 'I Put A Spell On You," a fresh pinky tangerine, that is going to look even better in the summer with a tan. For a highlighter, I have re-discovered RMS Living Luminizer, which makes skin look juicy and plump, which is really all I can ask for from a single product.
I continue on with the basket trend! I am beginning to have a problem. But I can't get enough of this adorable little picnic basket handbag from Free People. It makes any look a little more relaxed, but stylish. I wore this last weekend to brunch and people kept commenting on it. It's a fun, unexpected accessory.
