New Kitchen Things
Spending all this time at home, has me eyeing every corner: cookbooks stacking up, burned-out candles, mismatched stacks of plates. I decided to do a clean sweep and re-organize some of the shelves in my dining room. For display, I chose my special ceramic plates and serving pieces, new wine glasses, and some of my favorite cookbooks. I will break them down in further detail below.
Also, Happy Mother’s Day! Today is definitely a day to celebrate the amazing women in our life.
To my mother, who is my inspiration in everything!
I am ashamed to admit that I did not have a proper apron. I had been looking for one forever when I found this striped one from Magic Linen! it is 100 percent linen and the price in unbeatable. It makes such a difference to wear a good apron when cooking and I like being able to tuck a kitchen cloth into the belt when I need to wipe my hands or move something hot.
I also noticed Magic Linen has some great looking oven mitts, kitchen towels, and bed linens. (I linked below.)
I recently bought a few new wine glasses. It really makes a difference to drink wine out of a proper glass! These 2 styles are from William Sonoma. I like the simple modern ones on the left for white wine or amaro spritzes and the bigger ones on the right for red wine!
Another item I thought I would mention is a dutch oven. Everybody needs one and I notice they have been on sale recently. I have the Staub dutch oven in 2 sizes: 4 QT and 7 QT. I get so much use out of them and they clean up nicely. If you are interested in buying one, now is the time!
