Some Favorites | Beauty
A transition in seasons presents a transition in my beauty bag. I thought I would discuss a few products I have been using on repeat. A few skincare bits and bobs, as well as some old standbys.
Glossier Priming Moisturizer & Perfecting Skin Tint in Medium | I had been wanting to try these for awhile after previewing at their launch. I had the Balmdotcom and their Soothing Face Mist. These are just good fuss-free, easy to use, reliable products. The moisturizer is simple, but offers good hydration and a base for makeup. The tint is very sheer, but buildable. I use this alone on weekends or as a thin all over base before concealer and powder. I love the travel friendly packaging.
Tatcha Dewy Skin Mist | This is a cult product that has been on beauty editors favorites list for years. I finally decided to give it a go to use in conjunction with my newly purchased Laura Mercier Mineral Powder. It offers a dewy finish and takes away any powderiness.
La Mer Lip Balm | I have been using this nonstop. It is delightfully minty and moisturizing.
Beautylish Alphabet Cosmetic Bag | I am loving this wash bag from Beautylish, it is the absolute best. It is huge so you can fill it with everything when you travel. Such a cute holiday gift idea.
SHOP the LOOK:
Laura Mercier Mineral Powder in Natural Beige | This is an oldie but a goodie. My sister and mom love this powder and I was in the mood for a change. Something about this powder makes skin look really beautiful and glowy. It looks great on camera and offers good coverage. I layer over tinted moisturizer or foundation.
Urban Decay Naked Concealer | Looking to try something new, I picked this up in Light/Neutral. It has an easy to use wand, great for the under eyes, and all in all, a solid concealer.
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Bronzer in Luminous Bronze | This is beautiful. I had bought this over the summer in the wrong shade and ended up giving it to my sister. Everytime I saw her, I kept asking "what bronzer is that?" I finally got the right shade. It is very pigmented and offers a lit-from-within glow.
Urban Decay Eye 24/7 Eye Pencil in Smog | These liners are great for the waterline, as they stay put. Smog is a warm bronze shade.
Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector in Nude Shimmer | This is just an easy lip balm, for when you want a little bit of color, but want to keep lips simple.
MUJI Cleansing Cotton Buds ($4) | These are the best! I keep them in my handbag for midday touch ups or to clean up a winged liner gone awry.
