Style Icon: Charlotte Rampling
With the 70's making a huge comeback, a post dedicated to one of my ultimate style icons was a must: Ms. Charlotte Rampling. With a name like that, she was destined to make her mark. She has it all- sex appeal, wit, a sophisticated cool, and a voice like velvet. She started her career as a model photographed by the likes of Helmut Newton, Irving Penn, and David Bailey and played the leading lady in films directed by Woody Allen. She recently filmed a documentary on beauty, aging, desire, and death, starred in British drama, Broadchurch, and was the face of Nars Cosmetics, with her own oxblood burgundy lipstick aptly being named after her. In a time of being famous or known for doing nothing, she truly is a woman to emulate.
