Autumn Sangria

To get into the fall spirit, I came up with a tasty apple-themed cocktail. I used honeycrisp apples as they are in season and one of my favorites come fall. I think this is an unexpected and delicious  twist on a typical sangria. 

RECIPE

  • 1 and 1/2 Cups of Apple Cider
  • 1/2 Cup Apple Brandy
  • 1 (12 oz) Bottle of Hard Cider (or to taste)
  • 2 apples, sliced
  • 1 handful of cinnamon sticks
  • 5 star anise

 

DIRECTIONS

Add apples and cinnamon sticks to the bottom of a large pitcher. Add apple cider, apple brandy, and top with hard cider. Stir and pour into glasses! Garnish with an apple slice, cinnamon stick and star anise. Enjoy!
