Lady in Red

I have always had my trepidations about the color red. Ever since I wore a particularly abominable dress to a high school dance, that particular selection of tomato red hindered my any sort of regard for the color in general. Until this little slip dress came along and changed my mind. While all preceding evidence points to the contrary, I have to say there is something about a lady in red. Making a case for le rouge, there is a fine line that nervously teeters on the stylish vs unstylish edge. But any sort of unanswered question is left resolved with a simple and minimal silhouette, excusing any sort inelegance. For daytime, I would style this with a denim jacket and a pair of sneakers, while in the evening,  I would edge it up with a leather jacket and heeled bootie. 

My red-free existence for the past few years has come to an end and it will now be a welcome color for the upcoming season.
