A Day at Trunk Club

A few weeks ago, I was lucky enough to be invited to the brand new Trunk Club Clubhouse here in Los Angeles. Trunk Club is a personal styling service that was initially aimed towards men, but has now started its services for women. I think the idea behind this is genius, and IT is especially great for people who find shopping overwhelming, time-consuming or just want an all around wardrobe refresh. While I am not someone who dislikes shopping (obviously), the thing that surprised me is that it pushed my boundaries for what I would normally wear. I most likely would have breezed by some of these pieces on a department store floor, but after seeing them paired with different things made me look at them in a whole new way.

How does it work? First you chat with a stylist who asks you some simple questions about your personal style and what things you may be looking for. They curate a selection of things specific to you. There are no fees or subscription services - you are only charged for the things you actually want to keep!

If you live near a clubhouse, I suggest you definitely take the opportunity to meet with your stylist in person, try the clothes on, bring some girlfriends, and have a glass of bubbly! But if you don't live near one, the great thing about Trunk Club is that they ship a box straight to you, so you can try on clothes in your own home, decide what you like or don’t like, and ship back the rest. I worked with the wonderful and sweet Halley, who absolutely nailed it and I highly recommend! I was completely impressed.

I can't wait to use this service again especially when I have something specific such as back-to-back events or a wedding weekend. I happily walked away with some much needed pieces for my summer wardrobe.
