The Beach Goes On

June gloom is in full force i.e. come early summer LA becomes overcast and cloudy for a few weeks, so when the sun was sneaking through, I took the opportunity to shoot this look. Back with a little summer outfit inspo, my first order of business was to tick off finding the perfect denim short. I have worn a pair of Rag & Bone ones for years, but alas they needed an upgrade. Not too short, tight or distressed, this pair is the right color and softness. While these will be the basis for many an outfit, I am loving it paired with this loose and easy embroidered top. A wide brimmed hat and pair of lace up sandals take this outfit from a day at the beach to evening just in time for a sunset cocktail.
