Lastly, the shoes. Wedges can be a real hit or miss, teetering on a fine line between a French Rivera Brigitte Bardot or a Real Housewife of Beverly Hills (...or worse Orange County!) Eek! But the espadrille style combined with a wraparound ankle tie makes for a welcome modern update. On the brink of summer, this California look will be with me on my travels.
