Winter Glow Routine

Cooler temperatures, central heating makes for havoc on skin and hair.  In my case, skin is dehydrated and dry and yet still having the occasional breakout. Hair becomes brittle and lackluster. I have been enjoying a few products that make up my winter beauty routine to help reverse the effects and give a glow.

WINTER BEAUTY ROUTINE

SKIN

I have been using my gentle face wash, iS Clinical Cleansing Complex morning and evening. The glycolic acid breaks down leftover makeup or dead skin cells, leaving a fresh base to apply makeup or continue on with your skincare routine. If the latter, I have been switching it up between the old stand-by Dr. Dennis Grossman Alpha Beta Extra Strength Face Peel Pads, these make a world of difference to the texture of skin. If you haven’t tried, I highly suggest you start with the regular strength ones. For masks, I have been indulging in the Tata Harper Purifying Mask and the Tata Harper Honey Blossom Mask. The Purifying Mask is a gentle, but powerful clay mask that lifts impurities from the skin’s surface. The Honey Blossom mask boosts hydration and gives skin a glow, a nice pre-makeup evening out mask. For deep replenishment, the Omorovicza Miracle Facial Oil, gives skin a beautiful glow. I warm a few drops between my hands and press gently into the face. I have been battling dry winter lips with the help of First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Intensive Lip Balm and dry hands with Grown Alchemist Vanilla & Orange Peel Hand Cream.

Lastly, I have been finishing the day with a warm bath using Aromatherapy Associates Bath & Shower Oils. These pack a real punch with only a few potent drops. They smell incredible and instantly put you at ease.

HAIR

Hair can take such a beating in the winter months with increased heat styling. I have been enjoying Olaplex No3 Hair Perfector. Leave on damp hair for 20 minutes or overnight and hair feels softer and stronger. After hair is washed, I will use a dime size of Milk Anti Frizz Nourishing Leave-In Treatment to the ends of hair, leaving them conditioned but never oily or weighed down.
