Mid February, skin is at its dullest and most dry. I wanted to incorporate a few new products to mix up and jumpstart my daily routine. I really try to avoid heavily scented products or toxic ingredients, I find I just don’t even enjoy the smell of artificial scents at all anymore, let alone rubbing them into my face. I wanted to let you know about a few miracle workers I have used as of late that I have noticed really made a difference.
After cleansing, I have been using Cane & Austin 20% Glycolic Miracle Pads. These are brilliant! They exfoliate and even skin tone. I find they keep skin clear as well as brightening. They are intense, so start slowly and incorporate in as needed. I have been using 2-3x a week.
In the AM, I have been using Pestle & Mortar Hyaluronic Serum under my daily SPF. Hyaluronic acid replaces moisture in the skin, while smoothing and plumping. Its so light and instantly sinks into skin, also provides a nice base for makeup. A quick pick me up for a tired face.
In the evening, I have been using the Pestle & Mortar Superstar Retinol Night Oil. This is truly a game changer! The base is made with cold pressed grape seed oil with a blend of two types of retinol. All I know is, after using one time, I saw a big textural change immediately. Skin was smooth, pores less visible, and some serious glow. If you are going to get one thing, I highly recommend this.
As for hair, I have been using my old stand by Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Wild Ginger Shampoo. Its sulfate free, very moisturizing, a long time favorite. For deep conditioning, I have been trying this new deep conditioner, Mask No. 1 by David Mallett. I love that it is completely fragrance free. It is described as a "spa treatment for hair," and I think that is very accurate. Hair feels very nourished, shiny, and healthy. I want to explore more of his entire line.
Hope you enjoyed this update on some products I have been loving lately.
