Big Sur Weekend

This last weekend was my birthday, and a road trip to Big Sur was just what the doctor ordered. It's around 6 hours from Los Angeles, a totally doable day's drive. We stayed at The Post Ranch Inn for a weekend of relaxation, hiking, feasting, and breathtaking views! There really is no place like it as you stay in tree houses in the woods, with a magnificent view of the Pacific Ocean. The atmosphere couldn't have been more welcome after escaping the city life of Los Angeles to waking up in a forest surrounded by nature. The only sounds are of the morning birds and the gentle pattering of deer looking for their breakfast, and the crackling of the wood-burning fireplaces (which are in every room.) The piece de resistance is the Inn's two hot tubs on the property that are overlooking the mountains and the ocean.

I love that this much beauty is only a drive away and I will most definitely be back to explore Big Sur further.
