Spring to Summer Style Staples
As the weather gets warmer, I have been assessing my wardrobe: getting rid of things that no longer excite me, packing away heavy sweaters, and pulling out some old favorites. At this point, I know what works: lightweight pants, linen tops, summer dresses, and woven hats are all on my list. I rounded up some things that I already have and love, as well as a few things I have my eye on. Enjoy!
Lightweight Pants
The last thing I want to do is put on a pair of tight-fitting pants when it is warm out, so lately I have really been gravitating towards a trouser style. I think they look best with a closer fitting top and higher waist. I always think of pictures of Jane Birkin in the south of France with a linen button-down and signature basket bag looking effortless.
Linen Tops
As the summer heat approaches, I am drawn to anything linen. Besides being a great lightweight option, it is also one of the most sustainable fabrics (BONUS!) I love a sweet feminine blouse, button-down style, and a linen blazer that always dresses up a casual outfit.
Woven Hats
Hats are an essential spring and summer favorite. I like a simple style without a lot of bells and whistles.
Summer Dresses
Summer isn’t summer if you aren’t wearing a dress while barefoot. I always love a simple white dress, but lately, I have been loving anything in green.
