Daily Skincare Routine
I haven’t posted a skincare routine in years, so here is a list of my tried and true, most trusted products. The products I have listed are ones that I have used for longtime and purchased time and time again. I have found a routine that really works with my skin for it to look healthy, bright and clear and keep any blemishes at bay.
MORNING
Cleanse
In the morning, I like to gently cleanse. I do not want to use anything stripping. I discovered the Hylunia Hyaluronic Cleansing Cream and have now repurchased several times. It makes the skin feel clean and balanced and ready for the day. It also has a great price point.
Another favorite is the Omorovicza Foaming Cleanser. If I am in the mood for a little pick me-up, I love the Tata Harper Regenerating Cleanser, a longtime favorite.
SERUM
Most days I use a Vitamin C Serum as my next step such as the iS Clinical Pro-Heal, another product I have used for years. I also love the GOOPGLOW 20% Vitamin C + Hyaluronic Acid Glow Serum.
Lately I have added in the Omorovicza Even Tone Serum as a second layer to target any hyperpigmentation. If I feel try in the winter, I like to add Hydra Cool.
SUNSCREEN
My favorite sunscreen is Control Correctives Oil-Free Sunscreen. It is hydrating enough to use as my daily moisturizer and sunscreen.
EYE CREAM
For eye cream, I rotate between longtime favorites: Shani Darden Intensive Eye Cream, Goop All-In-One Nourishing Eye Cream, and iS Clinical Youth Eye Complex.
EVENING
MAKEUP REMOVAL and CLEANSE
To remove any makeup, I use Bioderma Micellar Water. For eye makeup, I like the Clinique Take The Day Off Makeup Remover.
Now is the time where I like to use a cleanser that cleanses a little deeper but is still is gentle on the skin. I love iS Clinical Cleansing Complex.
SERUM
Depending on how my skin feels that day, I rotate between Shani Darden Retinol Reform and is Clinical Active Serum. These two products I cannot live without. I also love the Shani Darden Lactic Acid Serum, which is great for gentle exfoliation.
MOISTURIZER
As a final step, I will add a moisturizer, depending on the season, and an eye cream (listed above.) In the summer time, I keep things light with with the iSclinical Hydra-Cool Serum or Shani Darden Oil-Free Moisturizer. In the winter, I like the Skinfix Peptime Cream. I also like using the Oak Essentials Moisture Balm in areas that I need extra help. (My code is CAITLINC15 for 15 percent off!)
WEEKLY
Masks
I love to use a mask weekly depending on how my skin is and I am always trying new ones. One that I consistently love is the Biologique Recherché Masque Vivant. It says that it, “purifies, tones, and brightens.” I love the way my skin looks! . I also love Natura Bissé Stabilizing Cleansing Mask, May Lindstrom Honey Mud, and Tata Harper Resurfacing Mask.
TOOLS
I am not one for a lot of gadgets, but I have used the NuFace Toning Device over the years and really like it. I also love the Shani Darden Facial Sculpting Wand. She’s uses one on each side of your face in her facials and it feels like a massage and lifts all at once.
I don’t currently have an LED Mask, but I am looking to incorporate and I will probably go with the Déesse Pro LED Mask because they are FDA-approved, has strong lights at a good price point,
