October | Life Lately
I rarely do a little catch up but life has been fast lately and I thought it would be nice to reflect and make note on some of the things that have happened.
I am happy and grateful for all of the projects that have come my way these past few months and I feel on a creative upswing. The change of seasons always breathes new life into all facets of life.
A highlight was heading to the Santa Ynez Valley and shooting with the Jenni Kayne team for Oak Essentials. The ranch is so beautiful and it felt peaceful and quiet.
I had a facial at my longtime esthetician Shani Darden’s studio. The studio is another interior lover’s dream as it is minimal and calming, My favorite element is the exposed flooring. Her products really are the best, she takes a long time developing them and the proof is in the results. All of her products are excellent, but my recommendation would be to start with her Retinol Reform.
Two weeks ago, I tried new restaurant Saffys, the latest addition to group behind Bavel and Bestia, before heading to a wine event. It was delicious and more casual then their other restaurantts. Great cocktails, hummus and kebabs, and the chocolate cake was divine.
One of my goals this month was to try to really engage with things that were happening in Los Angeles : new museum exhibits, new restaurants,
At the Getty, I went to see the Cy Twombly exhibit. It is about how his interest in Ancient Greece and Rome played a role in his artwork. it is only on display for another week, so go see it while you have the chance!
Le Marké launched their first extra virgin olive oil and they sent me a bottle. it is delicious! Check it out here.
Autumn cheeseboard leftovers for one of my wine clients. Perks of the job!
That is all for now, talk soon!
