Thanksgiving Table Inspo
The countdown to Thanksgiving is on! I’m rounding up my favorites for the Thanksgiving table. I like to have everything ready ahead of time, so I can concentrate on the cooking!
LINENS
I like the washed linen tablecloth in white or natural by Sur la Table, as well as the napkins. (They are also on sale right now for $29.99 down from $100 for 100% percent linen!) I have used these for the past couple years and they wear really well. I prefer to have a neutral base and that add in hints of color with the flatware or florals.
DRINKWARE
For drinkware, it’s nice to have a few options. For pre-dinner drinks I like to have champagne and cocktail glasses at the ready. For dinner, I place both water and wine glasses on the table. I love these Italian shorter stemmed glasses or classic Riedel long stemmed wine glasses.
FLATWARE
For special occasions, I love to break out my Mepra gold flatware. It is in a vintage matte finish and it looks so pretty on the table. To see it on my table last year: check out my post : California Thanksgiving. I also like the look of mixed vintage flatware.
DINNERWARE
I adore my beautiful plates by Meghan Flynn, they are handmade ceramic in the most beautiful creamy matte white. To get a similar look, these plates by William Sonoma are a great option. I use these as my everyday dinner and salad plates. These can go in the dishwasher.
FLOWERS and CANDLES
Last year, I used olive branches and citrus fruit for the table decor. I still haven’t decided what I want for this year, but I always love natural looking branches such as olive, eucalyptus, magnolia leaves, etc.
For candles, I will be using beeswax votives and tapers. I love the golden colored light they emit and they burn slower than other typical candles.
I hope this gives you some ideas for your own Thanksgiving table!
