Winter Skin Essentials
It has been awhile since I have written a beauty post and I thought I would update you with some of my favorite products as of late. The air has been so dry this year and has had the same effect on my skin, so I have been upping the hydration serums and moisturizers. I also have discovered a new game-changing mask.
SKINCARE
CLEANSER
Tata Harper is one of my all time favorite skincare brands. The level of detail in their products is unmatched. My two favorite cold weather cleansers are the Nourishing Oil Cleanser and the Regenerating Cleanser. The Regenerating Cleanser smells like oranges and exfoliates gently making your skin feel fresh and soft.
SERUM
After cleansing, I mist the Tata Harper Hydrating Floral Essence on to prep skin for a serum. In the winter, I like to add on a hyaluronic acid serum for extra hydration such as Drunk Elephant B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum which is simple and no fuss.
MOISTURIZER and SPF
In the summer, I slap on my SPF and am good to go, but I add in a moisturizer when it gets a little cooler and dryer out. My two favorites are Tata Harper Repairative Moisturizer and a budget friendly option, Trilogy Very Gentle Moisturizing Cream. The Trilogy line was sent to me awhile ago and I have continued to buy their products. They are natural and feel very luxurious, especially for the price. I love their Rosehip Oil as well. I always finish my routine with SPF and my favorite is Control Correctives Oil-Free Sunscreen.
MASKS
I love a good face mask, especially now since I am barely wearing any makeup. An old favorite is the Tata Harper Resurfacing Mask which gives you an instant glow from the enzymes, and has also reduces redness or blemishes with active Witch Hazel and Willow Bark. This will always have a place in my skincare routine. A new discovery is the May Lindstrom Honey Mud Mask. I had heard about this for years until I finally got my hands on it to quickly discover this is unlike any other mask I have tried. It is a unique combination of raw honey, white clay, and plant oils. All I can say is after the first use my skin had never looked better! It feels calming and cooling, while giving skin an extreme glow. It is one of the most pleasant masks I have ever had on my face and I try to keep in on the longer the better. It is pricey, but I have used this at least 10 times so far and there is barely a budge in the pot.
BODY MOISTURIZER
Pre-shower, I still am using my dry brush which I love the feeling of and it feels like a good way to get the day going. I usually hate slathering on body moisturizer once out of the shower, but I love this new GoopGenes Nourishing Body Butter one which is thick, but sinks in and has a natural light citrus herbal scent. Another favorite is the Weleda Body Butter.
For hands, I have been using the Detox Mode Impossible Hand Cream which is nice and moisturizing. It comes in a pump glass bottle so it is a nice thing to keep next to your bed to use at bedtime.
I am almost out of the Beauty Counter Lip Conditioner in Peppermint and I will definitely be buying again. I love the pepperminty smell and it keeps lips hydrated!
